Changes to the 2019 GLS

There are a few additions to the amenities available for the 2019 GLS. First is the available designo® Porcelain/Espresso Brown Nappa Leather with Budapest stitching. This just adds another attractive option to the interior luxury of the GLS. There’s also an addition to the wood trim options, as designo® Natural Grain Linden wood trim with stripes is now available in the base GLS 450 4MATIC®. These features are available for drivers who choose a Grand Edition version of the GLS 450 4MATIC® and the GLS 550 4MATIC®.

As far as performance, everything remains about the same. All GLS models come standard with 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. The base GLS 450 comes with a 3.0L V6 biturbo engine with 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Step it up a notch with the GLS 550 and the engine grows into a 4.7L V8 biturbo, grinding out 449 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. If that’s not enough, the performance-enhanced AMG® GLS 63 might be a good fit. It’s equipped with a remarkable handcrafted 5.5L AMG® V8 biturbo engine that delivers 577 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque as well as a towing capacity of 7500 lbs.
