What Is Mercedes-Benz Bringing to the 2017 Geneva Motor Show?

We’re right in the thick of auto show season, with one of the biggest auto shows on the horizon. Of course, we are talking about the International Geneva Motor Show, held in Geneva, Switzerland every year. So, what is Mercedes-Benz bringing to the 2017 Geneva Motor Show? Let’s go ahead and take a look.

What We Know About the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet

2018 e-class cabriolet roofAccording to Mercedes-Benz, this year’s focus will be on the world premier of the new E-Class Cabriolet. Over the last year, Mercedes-Benz has shaken up things when it comes to its E-Class models, consisting of the E-Class Sedan, E-Class Wagon, E-Class Coupe and E-Class Cabriolet.

Unfortunately, details about what we can expect from the new E-Class Cabriolet have been kept well under wraps. Mercedes-Benz has stated that the model will be an open-top four-seater, but little is known for sure outside of that. We do, however, expect it to look similar to the 2018 E-Class Coupe that was recently unveiled and have a power-operated soft top roof, while perhaps being a little larger than its predecessor.

Elsewhere in Geneva, Mercedes-Benz will be showing off a variant of the iconic G-Class, bearing some semblance to the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet. This is something that is not expected to arrive over here in the United States.

Mercedes-Benz will be bringing a total of 34 vehicles to the auto show in Geneva. Other models included in this showcase lineup are special SL and SLC models, as well as the Concept X-Class pickup truck. On the performance front, Mercedes-AMG® will be celebrating 50 years by displaying an alternative drive concept in the form of a new show car, which will be accompanied by additional AMG® models.

Unfortunately, to see more of what Mercedes-Benz is bringing to the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, we will need to wait until the company’s press conference that takes place on March 7. That said, you can be sure to find the latest updates here on the World Wide Motors blog as they become available.
